Hailing from South Africa Leote Taylor, better known to friends and family as Lee, had a love for music from a very tender age.

She first found her voice in church singing gospel music & also in her High School Choir. After completing High School Lee decided to pursue a professional music career. With no funding to study the arts she started out by performing at weddings and birthday parties and entering singing competitions she won her first competition in 2004. Shortly thereafter she was recognised by local producers and started recording for house dj’s & backing vocals for up and coming South African Musicians.

 

In 2007 she moved to the Capital of South Africa & there she joined the MC Art Academy at the South African State Theatre there she focused on her vocal skills and also drama and dance.During her time at the State Theatre she was involved in major Music Festivals & Drama Production there she learned the skills required to work within a professional band. Known for her versatility she can easily transition from Rnb to Jazz ,Pop Rock & Soul and many other genres.

 

She later joined the Freddy Arendse Jazz Ensemble as lead vocalist as well as other popular corporate bands.

She had a stint as a performer at the popular Barnyard Theater Productions.

 

Also a gifted lyricist she has written music for other artists and herself and she has recently become a registered songwriter with BMI
In 2010 she decided to broaden her horizons and took to international stages. She is currently performing in and around Asia in prestigious hotels and venues in doing so she has gained a loyal following. She is also currently recording with local artists and dj’s. She also travelled to Europe in Mid 2012 to perform at a Michael Jackson Tribute Night in Bulgaria.
